Website and new site search

Orpington college asked us to refresh their website and give it a new look and feel while retaining their existing functionality. During the research phase, we noticed that a lot of people were using the existing search facility, but often not being able to find what they were looking for.

As part of the refresh, we installed Google Custom search to power the search facility.
The college can now see a list of all the search terms used from within Google Analytics and finetune the search results by adding synonyms to the results. Google custom search uses the same autocomplete technology that is available on the main Google site. If you look at the screenshot below, you see that by typing in pr,
